Why do i get audio with no video when i try to play my camcorders videos?

I have a Samsung VP-D375W. I have filmed a few short clips direct to the memory card. When i try to view them on the camera’s screen, they work fine. However when i plug in my memory card, i access the (avi) files and I can hear them, but not see them. I am using VLC player, have the DivX pro codec and the K-Lite codec pack. I tried opening the files with quicktime, and i had the same problem

It sounds like a codec problem, but I can’t find out what your camcorder uses to record to the card. You could use GSpot to find out which codec you need.
